results of the Novice, Ranch, PN and Nursery on June 25

It seems like it was just yesterday we had a sheepdog trial here at our place.... egads, it WAS yesterday!
We started on Friday with the novice classes starting the day with novice novice.The weather was great for running dogs. The class consisted of an outrun, lift, fetch, settle the sheep at the post and then a pen. Each handler got 3 sheep and 3 minutes. There were some nice runs and some very nice handling. We had ONE young handler and of course this always is exciting to me. They are our future for this sport. Welcome to the group Kylo! We had 9 handlers go to the post

Our ranch class was quite large and very exciting to watch. Lot's of VERY nice young dogs coming on, testing the waters and getting a little experience on the trial field. The course consisted of the normal OLF plus a short drive away, cross drive and return to the pen. We had 39 teams go to the post with 80 points possible.
