A Piece of Heaven in Wales for a Vacation

Angie and Kelvin now are able to offer a "Slice of Heaven" in Wales. They have the coolest farm/cottage vacation spot. You can do herding as well as agility.

I highly recommend their place. It is a great place to see what Wales is all about. It is a working farm and you can bring your dog to work there. Or watch them train their dogs.

The house is a modern stone cottage that is set among scenic landscaping.

I love the beautiful stone walls. I want Angie and Kelvin to adopt me!!

Self-Catering Holiday Accommodation
Self-catering holiday accommodation is available starting June 2009 in our comfortable and modern stone cottage. Unwind in our indoor swimming pool, relax on our large outdoor deck, sit around the pond, or take a walk or mountain bike in the adjoining forest. The possibilites are only as limited as your imagination. The cottage consists of two double bedrooms, one ensuite, fully fitted kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, and shower room, two sitting rooms (one with a sofa bed), and a comfortable conservatory with dining table and sitting area. No smoking inside the cottage, please.

Guests have full use of the indoor heated swimming pool and shower room, pond areas, entertainment deck with barbeque, walking trails, and training facilities. We also have an excellent range of children's books for our younger guests to enjoy.

For the herding fans, training sheep are available at all times. Because we are a working farm, we might have to move ewes and lambs to another field in order to use the hill areas for training purposes. Puppy training sheep and training field also available. A great base for those wanting to come to Wales to compete in sheepdog trials and train when not competing. Kennel space is available of your dogs.

For mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts the western edge of the Brecha Forest, site of the Brecha Forest Mountain Biking Trails, borders our top hayfield. There is access to these forest trails from the field.
Dogs of all breeds are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Please pick up after your dogs.

Herding Facilities
We have 70 acres available for sheepdog training ranging from flat fields to more challenging hilly areas. All fields are well fenced.

Main training field - approximately 10 acres of gently rolling valley land. Two gates open this field up to another 8-10 acre field giving an uphill outrun (left and right) of approximately 400 yards.

Main hill area - 30-40 acres with excellent sight lines to all hill areas from the main training field. Superb for driving practice. Challenging outruns available with excellent opportunities for training bend-outs and pulls-in.

Flat fields - if pancake flat is what you like, there are two almost completly flat fields available. Both fields are approximately 5 acres each. You'll need your hiking boots as these fields are at the top of the farm. The view is worth the walk.

Because we are a working farm, we might have to move ewes and lambs to another field in order to use the hill areas for training purposes. There will be short periods of time during the year where access to the hayfields may be restricted in order to allow for grass growth for hay and silage cutting. During these times, other fields will be available for training.

If you are on holiday in the area and would like a place to train your dogs, please give us a call.

You're adopted! Come over anytime but make sure you bring your swim suit. The pool is heated. The BBQ is ready and waiting. We even have ice-cream over here. AND, we have some loaner dogs for people who can't bring their own.
