Lost my owner......Help this Border Collie out! - UPDATE

FOUND DOG: Please pass the word! The Salt Lake County, Utah Animal Services, picked up a  female Tri colored Border Collie with a split face on Sept 5th. She was wearing a collar with a tag that reads USBCHA National Cattledog Finals Competitor 2005, Big Lake Texas. Does anyone know of a dog missing or sold to someone in this area ...that fits this description?

SLCAS phone # is 801-559-1113.

UPDATE: FRIDAY SEPT 17. THE OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND. THANKS TO ALL FOR PASSING THE INFO ON!!

I'm sure someone has already done this, as it would be common sense, I would contact the USBCHA and find out who the registered owner was during that show.

Here is a listing of all the competitors from that competition. Didn't see a Utah on there though.

Although found in Utah, the dog may have been from somewhere else. I looked up the link, found the contact person for the page, and emailed asking if they either 1) know who the dog belongs to, or 2) if they could post the information to their page. If they read my email, they should certainly try to find the owner.

Maybe it might help if more people email as well? Sometimes it take a few emails to get a webmaster's attention...

This dog has been recognized by her breeder and the owners will be contacted and she will be reunited with her owners.

I sent out an email last night and just happened to send it to her breeder who recognized her and will be contacting her owners.

That is great news. It is always nice to see a dog be reunited with their owner.

Has the breeder been able to reach the owner yet? If the dog needs to be pulled from the shelter and held in a home until the owner can get her, I have a friend who is willing to help and only a couple hours away from the shelter.
