2007 Outback Trailer

Most of you know by now, that Bonnie Block is great at helping me spend my money. Cameras and Trailers are her specialty.

Bonnie got a 2008 Outback 23krs toy hauler. I has a mud room in the front when you can out dog crates. The queen bed slides out. The quality of this trailer is far nicer than my Pioneer Fleetwood. Now that I finally got used to hauling the 18ft, I decided to make the leap and get a 23 foot trailer.

What was the driving force behind this decision was at the last trial my trailer got muddy and wet inside from Tess and Nan jumping on the bed, walking on the floor and anywhere else they touched. Having a mud room means they can stay in there until they are dry and then come in. Plus it has tons of space and you can get six crates in there. This means I won't have to put in and take out the crates from the back of my truck and try to cover them when they are outside.

Bonnie helped me in my search and sent me a link to an Outback that was in Eugene, Oregon. I spent most of the week talking to Dennis Olson, (part owner) of RV Outlets. He had a 2007 Outback 23krs that suited my needs.  We worked out a good price for me. I had looked a trailer with less feature, 2008 model for $2000 more. We talked some more and he also gave me a "Sheepdog Special" on a fantastic fan. I had one installed in the mudroom for the dogs. They detailed it out, filled the two propane tanks, supplied new hoses  and fittings. The trailer also has an electric hitch, microwave with a gas oven, simulated plank floor in living area and high quality inside and out.

Nice big tub.

I drove  down to Eugene, Or  from Carnation, WA on a drive that normally take 5.5 hrs each way. It was wet, dumping rain and I hit tons of traffic jams. So it ended up being seven hours each way. I left at 6:00 in the morning and got home at 10:00 that night and I was exhausted.

I pulled in and Dennis gave me the tour. I told him if it didn't pass my inspection, the deal was off. I really couldn't find anything wrong with it.  They cleaned and replaced anything that needed it. As part of the deal, he gave me a "Sheepdog Special" on the fantastic fan. Half price and installed and if you get a trailer from him, he will give you the same deal plus warranty at  his cost. The other dealer that I had mentioned quoted me a warranty of $2100 for one year. Dennis offered me the same warranty at 1/3 of that (his cost) Talk about a huge markup and PROFIT for the other dealer!

So the trailer passed my inspection. I got the walk through of all the parts (and believe me there was a lot and I forgot a bunch already). They hitched me up and away I went!! It pulled smooth and wasn't any harder than my Pioneer.

So if you want an Outback, email Dennis and ask for the "Sheepdog Special"  They will look for your specific request throughout the USA, get it all squared away and as part of the package, offer a Fantastic Fan at 1/2 price and a warranty at his cost.  Their website RVOutlet

Tell Dennis that I sent you and to take good care of you!!

Looks like a great trailer! I'll have to keep that in mind this winter when I start shopping for my first one.
