Southern Hash Brown Casserole

This is very quick and easy. You can make this dish well under an hour, counting cooking time. Add ham or chicken for more flavor.


  •  (2 lb.) bag of frozen southern style hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 c.  finely chopped white onion
  • Seasoning salt - for flavor
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 1/2-2 c.  Cheddar shredded cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
Spray a 13 X 9 X 2 inch-baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Combine soup, cheese, butter, onion, salt, and pepper in bowl.
Fold the potatoes into the mixture.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350-degrees for 35-40 minutes top is browned and cooked inside.
