DeltaBluez Logan. Owned and loved by Courtney Roller. She has done all of the stockdog training on him. She saved up her money to buy him. Logan means the world to her and Logan loves her with all of his heart. She picked him when he was born. It's a great team!!

Logan is 3.5 years old. He also runs in agility.  He got the best home ever!!

Class of 2006

These four siblings are owned by some wonderful folks. Dolly their mother now works as a goose dog. She went to Barbara Ray in the east coast. But Dolly left four pups behind who all are outstanding working dogs.  They will be four in November.

They are from cattle line of Border Collies. They are very sensible and rate their stock well. I had kept Jack, then known as Grub, (since he was HUGE as a puppy) but Nancy wanted him so he became her soulmate. They are a great team. Courtney and Nancy also run them in agility. Tigr runs in Open sheep and cattle trials. Emma is in Ranch and pretty soon will be in PN.  Logan and Jack have run in arena sheep trials.

All of them work either sheep or cattle. They run in cattle or sheepdpg trials. They are very good dogs and people keep asking their owners if they want to sell them. The answer is no, in case you were wondering. Tomorrow I will blog some working pixs of Jack and Logan.

Nice dogs and nice people....what more can you want?

Popcorn, Tending and Tess

This is "Popcorn.". You are probably wondering why she got the name, Popcorn? Was it because she looks like a piece of popcorn? No.

Was her sire called "Colonel Redenbacher?" No.

Janet named her "Popcorn" because she loves to jump around like popcorn. She is always bouncing about, butting her fellow lambs, causing mischief and generally being a ringleader.

On Sunday, Janet and I, along with Tess and Scott tended the sheep on the front lawn.  Scott was covering one side while Tess covered the side towards the barn.  Popcorn decided to make a break for it. Janet and I sat on the porch and watched this scene unfold.

Popcorn slowly began to slither towards the barn.

But alas, Tess was on the job and gave her the "eye." Tess asked her if she had a hall pass.

"No", Popcorn replied and slowly walked back to the flock.

"Busted", said Tess.

Llama Wrangling

As you saw in the prior blog, we sheared three llamas. They were not easy to catch. I was not one of the llama wranglers!! I was the photographer!

Be sure not to have a drink when you read this blog. It's quite funny!

First, you must have Kodi as an observer. Then add Tony and Ali as the Llama wranglers. Now add, an unwilling Llama. Put all in a a small corral. Watch them run around. Laugh!!

So far, after five minutes add another Llama Wrangler.  Ron rounded up the crew. I guess these guys needed to work off the lunch pizza they just ate.

OK, they had to corner her and catch her with a rope. I was having too much fun laughing at this!! They finally got her!!

Kodi was also laughing with me. We needed a good laugh. Thanks to the "Llama Wranglers" for the good time.

Things You CAN'T Do When You're NOT a Dog

This is a riot. It so funny. Just don't be drinking coffee when you watch this as you might spill your coffee.
