I trusted my Missy girl from the get go, but it took me forever to trust Kipp. Then one night as we were prepping for SAR certification I totally lost him out in the woods doing a training search. The wind was blowing, I couldn't hear his bell collar and doubted he could hear me either. It was the first time I didn't know where my dog was and was wondering if he ran back or got sidetracked (I'm a bit of a control freak and when I'm not in control I start to worry...) Then I heard his bark way in the distance. He'd been working all along and found his "victim". It was great to hear him bark, but even better the trust in him that was built that day.Marahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06034609210727395072noreply@blogger.com
